A prominent SaaS client of mine is seeking an account manager to join them on a remote basis, where you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients, identifying new sales opportunities, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. You will act as the main point of contact between the company and their clients and play an instrumental role in ensuring customer satisfaction is upheld at all times, whilst upholding retention and maximizing revenue as much as possible.
This role is remote based.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client relationship management: Building and maintaining long-lasting relationships, understanding their needs to provide tailored solutions, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients, especially on key products and services.
2. Sales and revenue generation: Meeting and exceeding sales revenues and targets, along with identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities with existing clients.
3. Account planning: Developing account plans and strategies to achieve sales goals, conducting market research to grow the area, forecasting and tracking account metrics to monitor progress, as well as supporting account planning and development.
4. Product knowledge: Maintaining a thorough understanding of the products and services offered to communicate the usage and benefits effectively to clients, as well as staying updated on offers from competitors and industry trends.
5. Negotiations and closing: Negotiating contract terms and prices with clients, preparing and presenting proposals, closing sales and finalizing agreements, and managing the sales CRM.
6. Customer support and issue resolutions: Addressing all client requests, issues, and concerns in a prompt and professional manner, while working with internal teams on a collaborative basis to solve these issues.
7. Reporting and documenting: Maintaining accurate, updated records of all client interactions and transactions through a CRM platform, as well as providing regular sales reports and updates to management.
8. Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align strategies and meet customer needs.
Requirements
1. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a huge plus.
2. Proven sales experience.
3. Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
4. Results-driven, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
5. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Possess knowledge of relevant industry trends and products.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
