Exceptional opportunity with this innovative primary care/general practice provider at Oaklands Surgery and Yeovil Health Centre in Somerset,with 6 sessions available.
Salary: Between £11,000 - £14,000 per session - based on experience and level of GP role undertaken in practice.
Oaklands Surgery is an urban practice providing high quality healthcare services. In September 2017, it merged with Yeovil Health Centre to offer almost 11,000 registered patients from both practices. Both are Training Practices supported by health coaches, advanced nurse practitioners and workflow and medicines management hubs.
Yeovil has two railway stations making travel to London, Bristol, Exeter and Bath easy. It is also in close proximity to Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton and Exeter International Airport linking our practice in Somerset to the world.
Yeovil is an expanding town surrounded by beautiful scenery with a green oasis at its heart Ninesprings and Ham Hill country park a stones throw. Across the border into Dorset are Sherborne, Dorchester and the beautiful Jurassic coast. It is quickly becoming a popular relocation destination with competitive house prices and access to attractive neighbouring towns and villages. The town centre boasts numerous shops, restaurants, an entertainment complex, leisure facilities and theatre.
Main duties of the job
You would undertake all the clinical duties associated witha GP working in primary care, without the responsibilities and risks associatedwith being a partner. We can offer opportunities from salaried through toemployed and consultant level GP posts depending on your experience and thelevel of responsibility you take on at the practice.
All GPs working for us are paid as Employees, unlikePartners, which means less risk for you and more time to focus on patient care.We put patients first, with our Employed and Consultant GPs working flexiblyaccording to need, so contributing to areas such as QOF, QI, training andresearch projects providing a huge amount of variety to the role. However, our SalariedGPs have a clearly defined job plan setting out the hours of work andresponsibility and tasks associated with the role.
Through annual appraisal, we encourage career developmentand progression and are keen to support GPs who wish to extend their role, orhave specialist skills which can be utilised in primary care. We recognise thatsome GPs will wish to stay salaried, and some will wish to assume moreresponsibility once they have found their feet and aspire to Employed orConsultant roles.

Essential
7. A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003
8. Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
9. Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
10. Currently on a performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register
11. Accredited as a member of the Royal College Of General Practitioners (MRCGP) MBBS or equivalent medical degree
