NES Fircroft are recruiting a Civil Co-ordination Engineer for our client, a world leader in metallurgical plant solutions, based in Sheffield. This is a contract position for 5 months' work. Mon-Fri 37.5hrs per week. Hybrid working available. Civil Coordination Engineer: Produce, monitor and/or check that technically compliant and cost effective design documentation; drawings, specifications, schedules, calculations, enquiry specifications etc. meet project requirements and company operating procedures and statutory obligations. Ensure that the design and construction of the Civil works are carried out to the required standards, within budget and agreed time scales. Work with the lead engineer as the technical focus for a specific portion of a project ensuring a successful and commercially viable contract execution. This would include monitoring and reporting budgets, progress and change management. Report to Lead Engineer and/or Engineering Manager on all matters relating to the project. Participate in customer meetings, both on site and in the office (projects and pre-projects) Provide technical support to ensure that the Civil works associated with PT equipment are constructed in accordance with the design and operational requirements. Assist in the preparation of Civils technical specifications and engineering man-hour and/or merchant account budgets for the pre-project bids ensuring budgets are at a suitable level to obtain new business whilst still being sufficient to allow successful project execution. Qualifications / Experience: Degree / equivalent in Civil Engineering is desired, or alternatively, proven experience in civil engineering supported by HNC or equivalent qualification. Preferable experience with AutoCAD, Revit & Navisworks Previous experience in the manufacturing, steel/metals production industry
