Project Engineer
£35 - £45 per hour
40 Hours Per week, 8 hour shifts each day
Manpower has an exciting opportunity to join our client on their Yeovil site as a Project Engineer. This role will focus on technical publications for Yeovil and working with suppliers, involving liaising with the engineering teams on site.
In return, we offer a hybrid working model of 3 days in office and 2 days working from home (after an initial 6-8-week period of full office hours).
This role is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Creating and raising POs with the supplier for work, lead time, and costs.
2. Interacting with suppliers over the phone and email, and facilitating on-site visits.
3. Requirement collation and proposal template preparation.
4. Estimations in AET (Estimation Tool).
5. Review and approval of applicable documents.
6. Submission to OEM.
7. Liaising with engineering in Yeovil on the finer detail of the hardware.
Requirements:
1. Full BPSS Screening (Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check (UK DBS), and Drugs Screening.
2. 2-3 years of experience in this field is ideal.
3. Experience working as a project engineer.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on complex technical matters to various levels in the organization.
5. Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks quickly in a dynamically changing environment.
