Main responsibilities
·
Curating a music identity & style for each floor, including
background music direction & set up via a third-party company
·
Accountable for the weekly music programme formatting, creative
direction and performer communication
·
Setting up a structure with General Manager of each floor
for music feedback and action change when necessary
·
Strategizing future entertainment with Music Coordinator and
Director
of Membership & Business Development
·
Sourcing new acts (visiting bands, in-house bands, headline
acts, DJs) for the relevant floors
·
Curating musical acts, DJs and performers for key dates –
Halloween, Frieze, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, New Years Eve et al.
·
In depth understanding of The Arts Club Member demographics
·
Relationship building with acts, bookers, management &
members
·
Communicating closely with The Arts Club Dubai to book and
secure relevant artists for both Clubs
·
Relationship building with technical suppliers, managing freelance
sound engineers and lighting technicians
·
Staying abreast of the music industry trends and competitors
both locally & internationally
·
Overseeing negotiations of performer fees and ensuring
budgets are met
·
Approving performer contracts in communication with COO
& CFO
·
Spending 3 evenings per week at The Arts Club
to assess & build the music experience on each floor
·
Responsible for annual budgeting and monthly forecasting and
cost control of the department
·
Work closely with Director of Marketing, Director of
Operations and Director of Membership & Business Development to effectively
strategies marketing initiatives and Members communications via monthly
e-newsletter, word of mouth & social media
