This role has arisen as one of our colleagues has recently moved to pastures new. We have 4 other part-time dispensers and this 5th, part-time role completes our team, all of whom are qualified to NVQ2 level in dispensing.
The same level of qualification for this post is preferred but not essential.
A systematic and methodical approach, excellent keyboard and customer service skills are essential. Dispensary training and/or knowledge of SystmOne (TPP) is an advantage.
Main duties of the job
1. Managing queries at the counter.
2. Repeat prescribing.
3. Unpacking deliveries and managing associated paperwork.
4. Operating the till & credit card machine.
About us
We are a large, busy, but equally friendly training practice offering general medical GP services to our 20,000 patients. We dispense medication to those living in more rural areas of town, which is approximately 10% of our list. We work closely with patients/their carers and other care professionals and no two days are the same. We look forward to welcoming you to our team.
Job responsibilities
Our dispensary team comprises 5 part-time personnel who work independently but are still very much a part of our wider practice team. They liaise most closely with our onsite GPs and Clinical Pharmacists & Reception colleagues and are responsible for covering for one another during periods of absence.
