Reed Accountancy are excited to be working with a lovely Bath based business who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. - Friendly Inclusive Team - Career Progression Opportunities - Hybrid working Responsibilities: Manage the complete cycle of accounts payable from initiating payments to suppliers. Oversee the accounts receivable process, including logging purchase orders and issuing sales invoices. Ensure accurate and timely submission and recording of receipts for company expense card payments. Maintain and update prepayment and fixed asset spreadsheets and perform regular bank reconciliations. Process sales invoices and ensure they are correctly uploaded to various client portals. Handle VAT processing, ensure accurate transaction recording for VAT purposes, and submit quarterly VAT returns. Assist the Head of Finance with month-end closing procedures and the creation of financial reports. Propose methods to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Provide support to the client services team by ensuring effective use of project management software and resolving financial discrepancies. Administer the payroll process, coordinate employee benefits, and manage both employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Maintain precise employee records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Skills & Attributes: Demonstrated experience in a similar bookkeeping or financial role. AAT qualifications or at least 1 years' experience in accounts Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of professionally managing stakeholder relationships.
