PROFILE:
1. You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field in University [with a speciality in Cryptology, Control systems or Cybersecurity]
2. You are familiar with data analysis, data processing and IT and cyber security
3. You have outstanding problem-solving skills
4. You are customer focused and want to deliver value or solutions to the customer
5. You are recognised as a team-player and enjoy collaborative work, supporting business and technical leaders in delivering projects
6. You are an effective communicator
7. You are meticulous and pay attention to detail
8. You are curious and constantly keep up to date with new risks and countermeasures (viruses and antidotes)
COMPETENCIES:
1. You have knowledge of relevant information security standards, e.g. UN-R155, UN-R156, ISO 21434, ISO 27001 and ISO 27005
2. You know how to provide specific recommendations on technical environments
3. You have the ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts
4. You have in-depth knowledge of programming languages
5. You have the ability to work with customers and technical teams
6. You are able to explain to users the rules that must be respected in order not to endanger the company's information system
7. You are able to demonstrate diplomacy, listening skills, a sense of dialogue and persuasion, to convince users of the risks involved and the validity of the procedures put in place
8. You have already worked on cybersecurity risk analyses
9. You have good legal knowledge of security and IT law
LIFE AS A THALES CYBERSECURITY ENGINEERING AND ADVISORING ROLE
As a Cybersecurity Engineering and Advisoring Role within Thales, you will:
1. Elaborate cybersecurity test plan to ensure cybersecurity is covered from top to bottom with the required level of robustness
2. Uphold the projects, products, services and/or customer Information Systems Security Policy
3. Provide the tools and the resources needed to ensure and deploy the security requirements
4. Manage vulnerabilities and risks towards the customers
5. Detect, analyse and qualify incidents and threats. Identify their sources and block their access to existing solutions
6. Carry out a security assessment of the implementation of cryptography in a given context
7. Assist in the drafting of files for the evaluation of Thales equipment or systems by the French Administration or approved bodies
8. Assist customers in the routine development of Operational Technology security practices (such as undertake Operational Technology asset discovery activities, provide guidance within the threat environment, check or report compliance with applicable security standards and procedures…)
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
