Job Description: About our team Airbus Helicopters is the world's largest helicopter manufacturer and the company's site at Oxford Airport is Britain's civil helicopter hub. AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications. AHUK is the MoD's chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey). Description/Overall purpose of the Job The Quality Auditor works within the Quality environment and is responsible for performing Internal Audits on Operations, Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness. The Quality Auditor supports the MFTS Quality Manager in Safety Management Systems activities and promotes Airbus Safety and Just Culture ethos. The main responsibilities of the post holder will be: Auditing and reporting on performance in daily operations within the scope of: EASA CAA Regulations. Applying corrective/preventative actions to internal audits. Inputting data to Quality Department databases. The post holder would ideally have the following Knowledge and Skills: ESSENTIAL Good working understanding of applicable aviation regulations and accreditations EASA. Good oral and written communication skills. Good report and procedure writing skills. Computer literacy particularly in the use of MS Office. Knowledge of Safety Management Systems. DESIRABLE Knowledge of UK Military Aviation Regulatory Articles. We require the post holder to have the following Education, Qualifications or special training: ESSENTIAL ISO 9001 Auditor or equivalent. DESIRABLE Experience working in Military Aviation. Initial Human Factors certificate holder. Formalised EASA Part 145 and/or Part M training. The post holder should have the following experience: ESSENTIAL Experience in a regulated aviation environment in a 'quality function'. Experience as an Auditor including audit report writing. DESIRABLE Engineering experience in a regulated aviation environment. Experience working with Envision databases. Experience of EASA and MAA Occurrence Reporting Experience of QMS in EASA Part 145 and Part M environments. Key performance indicators: Audits completed to audit schedule. Corrective/Preventative actions implemented to agreed timescales. Safety Management System Internal Reports submitted. Other requirements: TRAVEL Possible travel within UK between, Oxford, RAF Valley. Full driving licence required.
