Are you skilled in credit hire and passionate about delivering outstanding service? We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Credit Hire File Handler to join our team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to investigate Complex credit hire claims from a tactical and strategic point. The role of the File Handler is to carry out complex & technical investigations on claims submitted from specific opponents. These claims will be up to £25,000 in value.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an incredible team and gain more experience in investigating credit hire claims with a view to significantly reducing the overall spend for our Insurer clients.
Key Accountabilities
* Education - at least 3 GCSEs or equivalent are essential and a degree is preferable
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
* Good telephone negotiation skills.
* Ability to follow work processes and keep to Strategy.
* Ability to recognise when sensitivity and tact are required.
* Ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure.
* Good IT skills including Word, Outlook, and experience of a Case Management System preferred.
* Experience of credit hire is essential. The applicant would be expected to have been working in an environment where they have been exposed to credit hire cases for at least 12 months.

* This role offers an opportunity to develop a range of legal skills under supervision.
Further career progression will depend on the File Handler aptitude and desire to move to a different business unit dealing with litigated fast track, fraud or multi track work.
In addition opportunities occur for those with leadership potential to move into deputy and then team leader roles.

Working Hours
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. This is a hybrid role working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Experience of handling Credit Hire files with evidence of managing own case load Education - at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent are essential and a degree / LPC is preferable
