2 nd Line IT Technician Salary: £30,000 - £35,000/annum (depending on skills & experience) Location: Portsmouth Hours: 39 Hours/week Are you an experienced 2 nd Line IT Technician looking for your next career move? We are recruiting for a 2 nd Line IT technician who is responsible for providing 1 st & 2 nd line support to members of staff across the company. The role will primarily focus on more advanced new and escalated tickets but will also need to assist with 1 st line tickets due to a fluctuating workload. Salary and Benefits: Competitive Salary of £30,000 - £35,000/annum (depending on skills & experience) 25 days holiday plus bank/public hols Employee Assistance Programme Company pension scheme Life Cover 3x salary Company bonus scheme Role: Provide face to face and remote support to staff across the business Focus on escalated and more advanced new tickets Resolving complex tickets in a timely manner Take ownership of projects and work with service desk manager to improve existing infrastructure Manage assigned queue of tickets, ensuring notes are accurate and impacted members of staff kept up to date on progress Maintain a high level of customer service when communicating with members of staff managing cases through to resolution Support the team with daily operations, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment Undertake 1 st Line support duties as and when required This role will involve a reasonable amount of walking as you will be supporting four large sites which are up to five minutes walk from HQ. Requirements: Demonstratable IT support experience in a similar role Good knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and 2022 in a hybrid environment Confident in providing support for Office 365 (Intune, SharePoint and Exchange) Good networking knowledge, including firewall configuration and troubleshooting, VLANs, DHCP and DNS Must have excellent technical knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware Excellent communication and organisational skills Passion to provide excellent customer service and face to face support with members of staff Drive for continuous improvement and learning VMware experience is preferable but not required Please apply today with your CV for this exciting role of 2 nd Line IT Support Technician ADZN1_UKTJ
