Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hyde, Manchester
Salary: £45,600 + Holidays which rise with service + Banks Holidays + Pension + Company Benefits
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week. DOUBLE DAYS. EARLY FINISH FRIDAY. NO NIGHT OR WEEKEND WORK.

Maintenance Engineer position available within a well-established manufacturer, associated with quality and respected in their industry.
The role would suit maintenance engineers who are multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical skills. Engineers must come from a manufacturing background. Applicants with experience working in a plastics manufacturing environment will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply. Engineers should ideally be apprentice trained or equivalent. Electrically, you will ideally have experience fault finding on PLCs and must have a 17th Edition as a minimum.
The role will involve a mixture of both reactive and pre-planned maintenance on a wide range of production, process, and packaging machines. You will be involved in continuous improvement projects on site, including machinery installation, refurbishments, and upgrades. As part of your role, you will assist in the mentoring and development of engineering apprentices on site. You will work to strict H&S guidelines at all times.
This is a varied role for the successful engineer. You will benefit from a weekdays role, with no night work or weekend shifts, offering stable employment within a good team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reactive Maintenance
2. Pre-planned Maintenance
3. Continuous improvement projects and installation when required
4. Working on a wide range of production machinery within the plastics industry
Working Hours:
Week One: Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 13:30 and Friday 06:00 to 12:00
Week Two: Monday to Thursday 13:30 to 21:00 and Friday 12:00 to 18:00
Minimum Requirements:
1. Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
2. Will ideally be apprentice trained or equivalent
3. Must be multi-skilled with mechanical and electrical skills
4. Electrically, must have a 17th Edition or equivalent as a minimum
5. Experience within a plastics environment is a considerable advantage
