Working hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2.30pm including bank holidays.

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver/Operative in our Basingstoke team you’ll carry out the various services associated with the role. For example, but not limited to, bulky collections, bin deliveries or food waste as per the contract requirement and specification, across any rounds required. There will be a core role from the above as specified in your contract of employment.
You’ll be entrusted to:
1. Carry out both scheduled & responsive bulky collections, bin deliveries or refuse & recycling collections on a daily basis with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
2. Understand contract requirements, the specification of all bulky collections, refuse, recycling, food & garden. Understand what items or waste can and can’t be collected.
3. Work as a team to ensure service is complete both on your allocated round, but also to support other rounds if and when asked / required.
4. Ensure bulky collections, bin deliveries or waste bins are not missed on the round and all properties are correctly recorded as collected / not presented / contaminated etc on either paperwork or tablet (if applicable), plus add photos to the tablet/PDA device.
5. Understand that any missed bulky collections, bin deliveries or waste bins must be collected as soon as possible when made aware of a justified missed collection/delivery being reported by a supervisor.
6. Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met by yourself and by the crew in the vehicle alongside you, including always wearing a seatbelt when the vehicle is in motion & ensuring the correct PPE is worn at all times.

2. Holding a Drives CPC Qualification.
