Financial Controller, Stoke on Trent, Permanent, £55k - £60k DOE
We are currently supporting a leading organisation in Stoke on Trent with their recruitment drive for an experienced Financial Controller to become a vital part of the business. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, have previous experience as a Financial Controller and someone who can make business decisions. Main duties:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, covering areas such as billing, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, cost and inventory accounting
Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations, maintaining accurate records and overseeing filing and reporting of transactions accurately
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies, uphold strong internal controls, and ensure financial systems are effective and aligned with business needs
Collaborate with the Management Accountant to prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and deliver insightful management reports
Support and supervise the finance team, overseeing the audit process, and liaising with stakeholders and external auditors
Work alongside the CFO and driving informed business decisions
About you:
ACA or ACCA fully qualified
A number of years of post-qualification experience in a similar role
Have a professional understanding of UK GAAP. A knowledge of IFRS is also desirable
Exceptional communication abilities
High level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in financial and accounting software, with hands-on experience in financial management systems
Experience in SAP Business One is particularly values
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of financial software, be able to adapt to changing financial regulations and have a strong business acumen. Candidates are required to be fully qualified in ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
