An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, well- motivated HCPC/NMC registered professional to join our busy, friendly team as a trainee Sonographer.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, particularly in difficult situations, a willingness to learn and the ability to plan their work both independently and as part of a wider team. There is an expectation the applicants have already spend time in an Ultrasound department, observing scanning and have an understanding of the requirements for the role.
Our ultrasound department has a team of sonographers who cover the core elements of general medical, obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound including early pregnancy and also specialist roles including MSK, neonatal hips and heads, head and neck and contrast enhanced ultrasound. We are a progressive, expanding department who actively encourage and support role development and CPD.
The successful candidate will undertake a 2 year masters post graduate training program to include Obstetric and Abdominal examinations at Sheffield Hallam University with clinical training across the Sherwood Forest sites.
The role will include travel to our other sites at Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals.

This is a training band 7 post and will paid under annexe U of Agenda for Change. The payment will be 70% in year 1 and 75% in year 2.
