BASED GREATER MANCHESTER
ROLE
1. A member of a small multi disciplined proactive maintenance team, with the ability to work independently or within team to minimize down time, and execute repairs in a timely manner in a manufacturing site.
2. Participate actively in department/plant safety programs. Promote safety rules and regulations.
3. Investigate and resolve equipment failures, determine root cause of failure, and recommend appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence of/or eliminate cause of failure.
4. Ability to interpret equipment drawings such as loop drawing and line diagrams and other technical information.
5. Recommend and specify alterations and revisions to improve equipment requirement and/or system reliability/capacity.
6. Complete the PM allocation of all electrical program's on site as per company standards, HSE and power & distribution systems.
7. Keep abreast of and evaluate new methodologies, work practices, equipment, instrumentation, controls, technology, etc., for application and use within the plant.
8. Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns.
9. Maintain an error free execution. Pay very close attention to details and executes work to the highest possible standard. Apply a “Continuous Improvement” philosophy to daily work.
10. Able to organize and supervise various contractors as required at the site.
CANDIDATE
1. Minimum RQF level 3 qualification (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline.
2. Two (2) years minimum Electrical experience.
3. City and Guilds 2391 -52 will be added advantage.
4. Recognized Electrical apprenticeship preferred.
5. 18th edition electrical wiring regulations will be added advantage.
6. Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification will be added advantage.
7. SAP experience will be added advantage.
8. Training in MEWP, mobile scaffold & lifting equipment will be added advantage.
9. Health & Safety experience is desirable.
