TEACHER OF SCIENCE (Physics Specialist)
MPS / UPS & Applications from ECT’s Welcomed.
(Required For September 2025 start or sooner if available—Permanent Position)
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Science with Physics as their speciality to join our team of highly committed scientists. Candidates must have the ability to teach science at Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 being an advantage. Early Careers Teachers are welcome to apply and weoffer a fully supported programme, including regular subject specific mentoring and whole school training. The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring excellent outcomes for every student.
Science is taught as a core subject at KS3 and KS4, with many students wishing to pursue the Separate Science (Triple Science) course at KS4. KS5 is very popular and we have a strong intake in all three of the Sciences. The opportunity to develop KS5 teaching is encouraged in the department with plenty of CPD and training available.
The Science Faculty is comprised of a team of well-qualified specialists, with the support of 2 full time and 1 part time technicians. The faculty is housed in a purpose built science block, with 11 dedicated laboratories.
