The Role Our nationwide Survey and Safety division hire a range of equipment including Robotic Total Stations and GPS equipment to the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. We are truly multi-branded supplying Leica, Trimble, Topcon, Mala, Radio Detection to name a few. As the Regional Workshop Support Manager you will advise the General Managers, Technicians and Test and Run Fitters on best practice and the procedures required to Inspect/test/maintain and calibrate all equipment to the manufacturers specification to make equipment ready for hire. You will assist the Regional Ops Manager and Technical Support Manager in identifying any training or development requirements for the technicians responsible for the checking and calibration of kit to be made ready for hire. In addition, you will also assist where necessary with technical support for GM's and customers. Your responsibilities will include training and mentoring the Survey South team in the below disciplines: Maintain up to date knowledge of products and full range of accessories Carry out comprehensive safety checks and calibration of all hire equipment before dispatch and complete all necessary documentation. Complete all certificates, service reports and documentation in a concise and timely manner with agreed timescales. Prompt reporting of damages on returned from hire equipment and assist in identification of responsibility. Ensure new hire equipment delivered to the depot is fleeted and recorded on the system correctly. Keeping the workshop and all depot storage areas safe, tidy and well organised at all times while identifying and reporting any safety risks in the workshop to the GM. To maintain company and workshop equipment, ensuring we comply with all necessary legislation and standards. About You Successful applicants should demonstrate the following: Experience working within the Survey sector and possess strong technical product knowledge You will be organised, motivated and confident with an aptitude for problem solving A confident communicator Knowledge and experience of Geospatial equipment is desirable; in particular Leica and Trimble survey products would be an advantage.
