The client, an experienced and friendly Transport Planning Consultancy based in Themes Valley and the West Midlands, is looking for an Assistant Transport Planner to join the team in their Reading Office. They with a both public and private clients across various sectors including residential, commercial & industrial, retail & leisure, retirement& healthcare, mixed-use, Education, Energy & infrastructure, and strategic land!
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from experienced leading-professionals. As you progress you can be expected to be active on a number of projects and to work with a number of clients at any given time.
The Position as an Assistant Transport Planner
In this role, you will be joining our Transportation department, contributing to the growth of the team and wider business. While some experience in the transportation field would be beneficial, a strong desire to develop into the role is essential. You will work in a supportive and collaborative team to produce transport planning and engineering report, technical notes, and drawings.
Essential Requirements of an Assistant Transport Planner
1. A degree in a related subject (MSc in Civil Engineering or Transport is desirable)
2. Conduct Data analysis.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
4. Previous post qualification experience
5. Interest in transport planning.
6. Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
