Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Project Manager to lead and oversee automation projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, including experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and project management methodologies such as NEC3/4. The role involves managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead automation projects, ensuring all phases from initiation to completion are managed effectively, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems to guide project teams in designing and implementing automation solutions.
Documentation: Develop and review Functional Design Specifications (FDS), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
Testing & Validation: Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), ensuring all systems meet the required standards before deployment.
Cyber Security: Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect automation systems against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, including NEC3/4 contract management guidelines.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Automation Project Manager or similar role, with a strong background in PLCs, HMI, SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
In-depth knowledge of Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Experience with cybersecurity protocols in industrial automation.
Familiarity with NEC3/4 contract frameworks and their application in project management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
