The PFF will spend their time in designated specialties working alongside a range of consultants and their teams in the provision of a high-quality service to patients.
The posts will be available in the Emergency General Surgery Unit (EGSU) on the Aintree University Hospital site. During the clinical post, the appointee will be allocated an Educational Supervisor who will provide support and mentoring towards future career aspirations.
The Unit provides high volume emergency general surgery experience as well as exposure to major trauma as part of the Merseyside and Cheshire Major Trauma Centre based at Aintree. There are also opportunities to participate in both the teaching and research activities of the department.

During the clinical post, the appointee will be allocated an Educational Supervisor who along with the Medical Educational department will be providing support and mentoring with regular one to one meetings.
The appointees will also take part in the on-call rota including night shifts and weekends where applicable.
