Job summary The Support Worker will be responsible for assisting the qualified practitioners in the provision of care to people accessing and open to the CRHT, including those contacting the Crisis line and caf service. The SW will carry out duties as designated by the shift coordinator and report back on the person's condition. The SW will undertake an initial triage assessment and escalate according to need. They will also signpost out to other organisations, specifically third sector. The Post holder will be expected to work as part of the Urgent Care Mental Health First response service which includes Crisis Triage and response services (Crisis Line/First Response), Liaison Psychiatry, Home Treatment teams, Street Triage and Liaison and Diversion Services (Criminal Justice). Main duties of the job The main duties of this role are to initiate a triage assessment and escalate according to need and support qualified staff following initial assessment of people/carers. They will report any observations or concerns relating to risk of people, carer or public safety. They will undertake any duties deemed relevant by the Team Manager or Clinical Lead.
