Job Title: Passenger Assistants & Relief Passenger Assistants PA Salary: £12.26 per hour plus mileage and travel time Relief salary : £12.26 per hour plus 14.49% for in lieu of holiday pay, plus mileage and travel time. Contract: Split shifts (AM and PM), part time, term time. See specific contracts for more details Location: You would need to be able to get to the allocated Vehicle Pickup points, which are throughout Worcestershire including Kidderminster, Worcester, Evesham, Bromsgrove, and Redditch. It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you can drive for this role in order to reach the initial vehicle pick up point yourself. The Role Join us in making a positive difference in our community As a Passenger Assistant, you’ll help transport children and adults safely to schools and day centres. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and flexible individuals who are calm under pressure with good communication and people skills concerning our passengers. You will work as part of a team with the Driver and assist with moving passengers so a moderate level of physical fitness is required. Some of our passengers may have an enhanced care requirement, for which you’ll be responsible for ensuring their comfort and safety. A key task in these roles is to physically assist passengers as necessary to and from the vehicle and help them on and off the vehicle by means of a step or the vehicle lift according to their level of need. The role involves traveling on a vehicle on a split shift to safely transport passengers to their destination which will likely include mornings and afternoons.
