Hays – Wakefield, City and Borough of Wakefield
Hays HR are supporting a company in Wakefield to provide professional and comprehensive HR Support and advise to the Group. This includes support in all aspects of the employee life cycle, including recruitment, payroll, absence management, performance management, training and development, employee relations, employee engagement, and the development of policies and procedures.
You will work closely with the Head of HR to develop HR initiatives to improve staff retention, employee satisfaction, employee engagement, and training and development, ensuring this is available to enable employees to reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include providing an HR Advisory and Coaching service to all Group Companies and Stakeholders, supporting the embedding of the company vision and values, and ensuring all employees fully understand their role in achieving the company vision.
Additionally, you will ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment law, ensuring line managers are informed of changes to company policies.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Demonstrable generalist HR experience including evidence of dealing with complex HR issues.
2. CIPD qualified to level 5 or working towards the CIPD qualification is a must.
3. Experience of working in a manufacturing/retail environment preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and develop strong working relationships with people at all levels.
5. The tenacity, integrity, and passion to deliver an exceptional HR service.
6. A proactive individual with a flexible approach to work.
7. Excellent organisational skills and a confident individual who can implement change.
8. Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
9. Proven ability to operate independently and take the initiative.
10. Ability to analyse, interpret and deliver data and information accurately, fairly, and concisely.
11. Ability to influence key decision-makers and to challenge when necessary.
12. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and use own initiative.
13. Flexible, adaptable, and ability to travel when required.
14. A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work.
