Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Personal Assistant to join Gateshead Council's Adult Social Care Team on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This role is providing essential support to 3–4 Directors and Heads of Function across Adult Social Care, Commissioning, Performance, and Service Development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diary Management – Scheduling meetings, managing complex calendars, and prioritising tasks efficiently.
* Meeting Coordination – Organising and supporting senior management meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on actions.
* Stakeholder Enquiries – Handling and responding to queries from Councillors, MPs, and external partners in a professional and timely manner.
* Administrative Support – Preparing reports, drafting correspondence, and managing confidential information.
* Social Care Systems – Experience or knowledge of social care systems would be an advantage.
