The Quality & Assurance Manager has a key role in supporting the business, by ensuring that GB Railfreight (GBRf) complies with internal, group and industry standards to mitigate risk. The role holder will be self-motivated to co-ordinate GBRf’s suite of policies, standards and procedures with departments across the business, whilst also managing GBRf’s Document Controller and Lead Auditor, to ensure that the right people receive the right information, and that our agreed policies, standards and procedures are being satisfactorily followed. Closing date: 3rd February Work with cross-business departments to ensure that supporting documentation for GBRf activities is relevant, accurate and current. Ensure that GBRf’s policies, standards and procedures are reviewed on schedule and distributed to those that need to receive them. Assist with the development of Procedural Frameworks that enable GBRf to respond quickly and dynamically to business opportunities, whilst maintaining compliance with internal policies & standards. Co-ordinate and lead GBRf’s Standards Review Group (SRG), where cross-business documents are reviewed by the Professional Heads. Provide input into GBRf’s Executive Safety Group (ESG), and attend where required. Manage GBRf’s Document Controller and Lead Auditor. Drive continuous improvement across policies, standards, procedures, document control and audit assurance activities. Essential Excellent organisational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Document management experience. Ability to accurately record and present information. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise key deliverables. Experience of planning and delivering Management System Audits. Experience as a Line Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader. Desirable ISO9001/14001/18001 Lead Auditor Qualification(s) Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
