Pay Rate: £18 per hour Shift Pattern: 7.4 hours per day, 5 days a week (Full time) Duration: Long Term - 3 months Main Purpose of the Job: As a Family Support Worker you will be linked to a locality to assist with various tasks, including: Direct work with children and families Paperwork Taking children and families to appointments Supporting moves of placements Being the second worker on visits Taking notes Responsibilities and Key Areas: Facilitating Letterbox Contact: Manage letterbox agreements and exchanges. Ensure exchanges meet standards and are secure. Provide advice and support to participants. Family Support: Deliver support packages to adoptive families. Build relationships with adopted children. Facilitate groups for adoptive families. Support birth families with adoption-related needs. Coordinate with other services and agencies. Meetings and Development: Contribute to service development. Participate in meetings, training, and regional events. Maintain administrative and evaluation systems. General Duties: Promote communication between agencies. Attend supervision sessions and staff meetings. Maintain records and produce reports. Use anti-discriminatory practices. Fulfill additional duties as needed. Person Specification: Essential Criteria: Experience of direct work with families. NVQ level 3 or equivalent childcare qualification. Essential car user role (alternative arrangements for disabled applicants). Experience with children who have experienced trauma or neglect.
