Registered Children’s Nurse The Clementine Churchill Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £32,324.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification) The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Registered Children’s Nurse to join their team of staff in the Paediatric Day Surgery Ward. The Staff nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality patient care, working in close co-operation and collaboration with the multi disciplinary team. We carry out elective surgery including specialities like Orthopaedics, Dental, Urology, and ENT. This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include: Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care for children across a range of clinical settings. Monitor and respond to changes in condition, escalate concerns, and carry out clinical observations, treatments, and interventions safely. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with NMC and organisational guidelines. Work in partnership with families and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support throughout the care journey. Involve parents in care planning and discharge preparation, recognising their role in supporting recovery and wellbeing. Communicate effectively with children of all ages, using appropriate play, distraction, and communication techniques. Applicants should meet the following criteria: Registered Nurse (Children / Paediatrics) with valid NMC registration. Experience delivering nursing care to children and young people in hospital or community settings. Strong communication and family liaison skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment. Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family dynamics. Experience in a paediatric specialty (e.g., surgical, oncology, outpatient, day case). Paediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) or Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification. Knowledge of CQC standards and clinical governance frameworks. Experience working in private healthcare or elective care services.
