Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Residential Architectural Designer to join us following the exciting and successful launch of our Detailed Design service. Peek Home is now the second-largest residential architecture firm in the UK by project volume, and this role will be key to delivering high-quality, compliant designs for domestic house extensions and loft conversions.

The Role
As part of our Detailed Design team, you will:
* Take ownership of planning permission and building control submissions for domestic house extensions and loft conversions.
* Provide expert, compliant designs that align with UK building regulations and permitted development rules.
* Collaborate with our design team to ensure seamless integration of technical submissions with client design goals.
* Maintain high accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the submission process.
* Stay up to date with UK planning and building control trends and regulations to enhance the quality of our service.
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
* 10+ years of experience in residential architecture, specifically planning and building control submissions.
* Proven expertise in UK building regulations and permitted development processes.
* Proficiency in Sketchup and other design software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD).
Desired:
* Degree qualifications in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, or a related field.
Details
* Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, reflecting your experience and expertise in residential design.
* Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (UK timezone).
* Location: Remote-first, with occasional team meetings in Newcastle upon Tyne. (Travel expenses covered within the UK.)
