Part-Time Bookkeeper
Your new company
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper for a company based in Luton who specializes in a range of naturally inspired skin and hair care products designed to cater to different skin and hair needs. The Bookkeeper's responsibilities include posting journals for prepayments, accruals, and payroll, preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns, managing internal payroll processes, conducting payment runs, and reconciling bank transactions. They also oversee credit control activities to ensure timely payments and manage credit risks, create and process accounts receivable and payable, maintain a balanced general ledger, work with an accountant when necessary, and provide financial reports to leadership as needed. These tasks ensure the Bookkeeper can effectively manage the company's financial records and processes, contributing to its overall financial health and compliance.
Your new role
As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
* Posting journals for prepayments, accruals, and payroll.
* Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
* Managing internal payroll processes.
* Conducting payment runs.
* Reconciling bank transactions.
* Overseeing credit control activities to ensure timely payments and manage credit risks.
What you'll need to succeed
* At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Sage 200 is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
