This role sits in the Modern Desktop Product Group, within End User Services. In this role you will be expected to design and deliver new Services for Kingfisher group across a variety of Technical Services that fall under the Modern Desktop Product Scope. This role is a predominately Design/ Project-oriented role, with an expected 80/20 delivery / support workload split.
What's the job
1. Recognised expert in the design and delivery of high-quality IT services
2. Providing technical governance across Projects, BAU and related SIPs
3. Engaging wider designers and architects to achieve programme consistency
4. Advising colleagues/ customers of feasibility and risks of potential solutions and support creation of initiatives
5. Creating Infrastructure designs, performing solution evaluation as needed against requirements – balancing requirements, costs and risk
6. Managing and monitoring workload through JIRA EPICS and Stories.
7. Defining detailed activity and resource plans to deliver project & SIP outcomes
8. Delivering new Technical Services as part of a Project team/ managing 3rd party services, delivery partners and external vendors to deliver solutions
9. Being an evangelist within the IT community, using Viva, SharePoint, Teams etc.
10. Feeding into the products strategy, IT strategy, roadmaps and standards & engaging product vendors/ whilst maintaining IT/ industry awareness as necessary
What you'll bring
11. Extensive experience working in a 3rd-line technical support role.
12. Experience designing and delivering a variety of Technical Services within a complex Enterprise environment.
13. Recognised as “SME” for relevant Product Groups relating to the role.
14. Demonstrable feedback-driven approach to Service Design and Service Improvement
15. Experience working within a large organisation with a globally disparate user-base.
16. Relevant experience working with managed service providers and third parties.
17. “Technologist” mindset – detailed understanding of vendor roadmaps, Group Technology roadmaps, business/ industry challenges and trends with an ability to translate these into a roadmap/ strategy to develop services.
18. Proficiency in the following areas, Intune, Windows 11, Autopilot, PowerShell, Modern Management.
