Our Tarmac Land and Natural Resources team are recruiting for a Real Estate Surveyor to join our Cohort starting in September. The Graduate Programme includes the opportunity to join our Land & Natural Resources Team based out of our Quorn House offices, in Quorn, Leicestershire.

Role Responsibility
It is important for us to ensure the land we own is managed responsibly, sustainably restored and maintained for the benefit of our business, local people, biodiversity and the communities in which we operate in. Working as a graduate in our Land and Natural Resources team will see you playing a key role in the future sustainability of our business.
A typical day could include:
1. Working in close liaison with the Regional Head of Estates and Estates Managers, to meet objectives in relation to mineral and land acquisition and development,
2. Understanding and working to planning consents for mineral working, ancillary and added value operations
3. Working on the delivery of rental enhancement and built development opportunities as well as compliance with planning and tenure agreements
4. Gaining a clear understanding of the principles of land and mineral ownership, Landlord & Tenant relationships and T&CP policy and development control process
5. Managing Landlord & Tenant relationships
6. Preparing and reviewing planning applications including the review of specialist consultant reports
7. Preparing written reports
8. Seeking opportunities for enhancing the financial return from a diverse range of property assets
9. Interacting and assisting with the development of Tarmac’s Electronic Property Information System
10. Whilst you’re learning on the job, you’ll attend our Graduate core Skills Development Programme designed to expand your business knowledge, strengthen core skills and offer networking opportunities with other graduates and key stakeholders across the Tarmac business in order to successfully transition into your destination role
