Job Title: Facilities Electrician Location: Southampton, Hamble-le-rice Working Hours/Shifts : Monday to Thursday (7am - 3:30pm), Friday (7am - 12pm) - Can offer flexability if needed Introduction: We're partnering with a top aerospace company seeking a Facilities Electrician to support the Facilities Manager and assist a dedicated maintenance team. You'll ensure EHS compliance, deliver cost-effective service, and manage electrical maintenance, testing, and installations. What will I be doing? As a Facilities Electrician, you'll perform installs, diagnose, and repair electrical installations, plant, and equipment in accordance with the current regulations and guidance. You'll update detailed schematics for all new installations / modifications, carry out completion of IEE installation inspections, tests and surveys including associated reports. You'll record all work carried out, including updating the computerized maintenance management system, and compile a full Bill of Materials for ordering installation materials and spare parts. Additionally, you'll liaise with suppliers to make sure contractor work is scheduled as directed by the Facilities Manager and provide guidance, instruction, and training to Apprentices/Trainees as needed. You'll help to maintain a safe and effective workplace by following EHS policies, quality standards and procedures. You'll also support the company in reducing unnecessary expenditure over time. To be a success, you'll need the following to apply: BS2391- 52 Verification Testing and Inspection What do I need to be successful in the role: Previous work experience in Industrial / commercial electrical maintenance The ability to diagnose and remedy electrical faults and install new electrical work to specification. To be comfortable to work at heights and in confined spaces To be able to communicate effectively on all levels within the business.
