As Business Manager for the Welsh language, you will lead a small team that is centrally involved in transforming and developing our Welsh language services. And that is to meet the needs of the Department to encourage customers to access online services through the medium of Welsh. Working closely with Senior Welsh Business Managers, as well as a team of translators and ITEF's Head of Welsh-language Services, you will be involved in a wide range of topics using modern technology and flexible approaches.

You should be a great communicator, both verbally and on paper, who can be wise and diplomatic in weighing our diverse workloads against the needs of our customers. You do so as part of a relatively small team that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do.
You will need to be familiar with a number of digital platforms, spreadsheets, the Welsh language, and be flexible in understanding the demands we are under. You will have previous experience in ensuring success, and delivering actions, on time while managing various workloads.
Essential Criteria:
Ability to speak and write Welsh fluently and confidently. Knowledge of, and understanding of, the needs of Welsh-speaking customers. State-of-the-art drafting skills to produce and implement comprehensive records and action plans to assist in stakeholder management. State-of-the-art interpersonal skills, along with in organization and discussion, and ability to deliver on time. Be confident in using different types of software for producing translated documents. Experience in managing complaints relating to the Welsh language. Lead a team to implement changes in a busy environment. Proactively identify ways to develop the team's processes. The successful candidate must be bilingual (English and Welsh).
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of dealing with third party suppliers in designing Welsh forms
Experience publishing material on the intranet via SharePoint
Be an experienced line manager
Languages Ability to speak and write Welsh fluently and confidently.
