Position Description HPS Investment Partners is seeking an Analyst level Software Developer to join our team. This person will be responsible for building solutions associated with our Public & Private Loan, CLO, Long/Short Credit, and Structured Credit investment strategies. They will be involved in multiple projects, many of which will involve working directly with key stakeholders in both our investment and infrastructure business groups. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: General Participate in the entire lifecycle of mission-critical applications, including business analysis, design and architecture, development and deployment, and ongoing support Develop relationships with and deliver solutions to various business units including but not limited to Portfolio Management, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Accounting Collaborate with our internal software development team as well as application vendors to develop solutions and integrate vendor products to deliver rich, enterprise-wide software solutions Collaborate with off site development teams Specific Architect and implement enhancements to our data capture and processing infrastructure that will improve scalability, monitoring and performance Enrich the software development environment and repository; seek out tools, products and/or toolkits, and methodologies that can further improve the efficiency of our software development process Design and implement release management strategies; continuously add further automation and control Projects will include building and integrating software applications supporting the following: Data Warehouse and Governance Trade Capture & Bank Loan Settlement Trade and Loan financing Security Master Pricing Reconciliation Collateral Management Risk and Quantitative Analysis Candidate Profile Demonstrated track record of academic and professional achievement Undergraduate Computer Science degree from a top University 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in the financial industry; private debt fund, alternative investment manager Ability to perform business analysis, as well as maintain various user relationships Product knowledge with one or more asset classes (Bank Loans, bonds, credit derivatives, FX forwards) C# and .NET proficiency preferred Excellent MS-SQL query composition skills Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, specifically the various Microsoft Azure services Strong written and verbal communication abilities and inter-personal skills Highest degree of business ethics and professionalism Strong appreciation for architecture, analysis, problem solving, testing, and agile development Location London, UK Employment Type Full-time, Exempt Work Schedule 4/1 split (Monday-Thursday work from office, Friday work from home.)
