Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure & Energy

Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure and energy projects. You’ll play a key role in shaping outcomes across high-impact schemes that support sustainability, innovation, and long-term societal value.
This is a client-facing role, offering the opportunity to influence project strategy and outcomes from early inception through to delivery. Ideal for someone confident managing full project lifecycles and passionate about delivering work that drives progress across the built environment.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, typically valued between £1m to £10m+, and often part of larger national programmes. Depending on scale and complexity, you may lead independently or as part of a wider cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead or support the delivery of infrastructure/energy commissions, managing time, cost, risk, and quality
* Advise clients on strategy, procurement and programme options at project inception
* Define and track project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
* Develop project governance frameworks and manage stakeholder engagement
* Create and maintain master schedules, resource plans, and budgets
* Lead on risk identification and mitigation planning
* Drive performance through KPIs, change control, and cost reporting
* Prepare formal project updates, progress reports, and dashboards
* Collaborate with wider consultancy and client teams to deliver best-in-class outcomes
* Provide guidance on health, safety, environmental and quality considerations throughout
About You:
* Strong infrastructure, energy, utilities, or major project experience – power and renewables experience highly valued
* Confident managing the full project lifecycle, with a strong handle on governance, risk, and reporting
* Excellent communicator with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
* A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
* Comfortable delivering independently while collaborating with wider internal and external teams
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Degree qualified in a relevant field (Construction, Engineering, Energy, or related discipline)
* Working towards chartership or already chartered (APM, RICS, ICE or similar)
* Familiar with industry-standard tools and project management methodologies
* Deep understanding of project controls, governance, and assurance processes
