Position Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role ensures the financial health and stability of the business, supports operational decision-making with financial insights, and ensures compliance with corporate financial policies and regulatory requirements. The Finance lead plays a key role in driving cost optimization, managing working capital, and contributing to the Business’ overall strategic objectives. Qualifications and Experience Education: Chartered Accountant or Equivalent (member of UK's chartered accountancy bodies) Experience: 5 -8 years of experience in the Finance function with at least 3 years of experience in budgeting, General Accounting & MIS. Working knowledge of SAP, significant expertise preferred. Facilitate Annual Business & Financial Planning (Budgeting): Bring together all the functions to define annual business objectives and arrive at the business plan for the year Provide guidelines to evaluate the growth projections given by Sales and Operations Assimilate information on current orders & pipeline from sales plan & program management plan covering all geographies & customer orders to arrive at top line estimate Assimilate information on current and future projected costs for the year from Operations and other functions covering all geographies & customer orders to arrive at the various P&L elements. Arrive at Final budget financials (P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow) and work with the reporting manager. Work with cross functional teams to arrive at a capex plan for the year to present along with the budget. Present the financials to the MD, CFO and Management Team and finalise the financials after revisions based on management feedback. Performance Analysis of business: Review Business performance with management through MIS reporting at preset intervals or as required against the Budget targets and performance efficiency on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis with gap analysis and corrective actions Identify risks and opportunities to drive improvements. Work closely with the comapny and BU leadership to improve operational efficiencies, profitability, and resource allocation. Engage in costing and pricing of products and parts Develop and implement strong financial analysis and modelling that drives significant reductions in operation costs Ensure timely analysis and tracking of costs, prepare cost and revenue variances for new and existing products Ensure product and general costs are maintained and monitored at optimum level Participate in determining pricing of the products by providing the required financial information and production / other costs Recommend measures for cost optimization and drive cost control in all activities Ensure budgetary controls on purchase orders (PO), inventory and other critical parameters Take care of SAP activities on PO approvals- finance level Budget approvals/releases Capex control, spend and recording Intercompany reconciliation Ensure effective fund management to cater business requirements Monitor and manage working capital, including accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable, to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency. Ensure Accounts payables and Accounts Receivables are accurately accounted in a timely manner without any delays. Ensure regular account reconciliation for both AP and AR. Ensure payments and collections are made as per stipulated guidelines and within targeted time lines. Payments include payment uploads and approvals Work with cross functional teams to prepare Collection plan and drive actual collections Establish, maintain and enhance working capital and capex limits with banks inline with company requirements and management direction. Liaison with and Maintain banking and partner relationships in respective financial circles. Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank and investment accounts Track and monitor foreign exchange rates to avoid business losses due to market conditions Prepare and manage Monthly, quarterly and yearly cash flow forecasts, ensuring the BU has adequate cash for both short- and long-term operations. Ensure Monthly/ Quarterly/Annual statutory compliances are taken care of. Oversee capital allocation and monitor the return on investment (ROI) for CapEx projects in the business. Risk Management & Compliance: Risk Mitigation: Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect the business from financial disruptions. Develop business continuity plan and ensure to address any related issues Initiate and manage projects aimed at improving the business profitability and cash flow Ensure reporting and analysis Responsible for reporting and presentation of the financial outcome, business plans and projections to CFO, COO, MD & management team, and BU head. Ensure multiple MIS report generation on a regular basis to present current state and drive improvements on gaps w.r.t. Budget/Desired outcomes by working with cross functional teams Develop and prepare documentation, submit reports on Financial Evaluations, Cost Benefit Analysis, etc. with recommendations to support decision making Drive regular internal audit as per defined company norms to monitor control gaps and take necessary corrective action Work with statutory auditors to complete statutory audit activities based on company and statutory norms and present to the management. Work with the reporting manager to prepare and compile board meeting material to present to the board of directors for regular board meetings.
