Huntingdonshire is a historic district with a rich and diverse mix of buildings, from mediaeval churches to Cold War military architecture.
We are looking for a Conservation Assistant/Graduate who can contribute to the work of the team whilst developing experience in the challenges of conserving and enhancing this district's designated and non-designated heritage assets.
The post holder will work with the two existing Conservation Officers and the Team Leader in all areas of heritage conservation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a heritage graduate beginning a career to work with experienced colleagues in an environment with an extensive range of built heritage.
You will gain experience in commenting on development proposals and assist in the production of policy guidance documents such as Conservation Area Character Statements.
The post is permanent and full-time, 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with the occasional evening meeting in accordance with the needs of the service.
