We are continuing to work in partnership with a well-established Transport business who continue to grow from strength to strength they are looking for an additional Transport Co-ordinator to add to their team, specialising in providing high-quality logistics solutions and ideally someone who possess Pallet Network Experience. Due to our continued organic growth, we are looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Position Overview:
As a Transport Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of our transport department, with a focus on Pallet Network services. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of logistics, coordinating deliveries, maintaining records, and liaising with both customers and service providers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop professionally and take ownership of key responsibilities within a growing, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transport Operations Management: Oversee the daily transport operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods via the Pallet Network.
* Customer and Service Provider Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and third-party providers via email and phone to resolve issues, provide updates, and manage queries.
* Logistics Coordination: Schedule and coordinate deliveries, ensuring all shipments are dispatched and received on time and in accordance with client requirements.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport records, including schedules, delivery logs, and relevant documentation.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve common objectives, ensuring that all operational needs are met.
* Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues or delays promptly, maintaining a high level of service.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all transport activities adhere to legal, health and safety, and industry standards.
Key Strengths and Skills Required:
* Pallet Network Experience: Proven experience in coordinating transport operations within a Pallet Network environment is essential.
* Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage clearly, professionally, and effectively with customers, drivers, and colleagues.
* Teamwork & Independence: Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Time Management: Skilled in prioritising tasks, managing competing deadlines, and staying organised in a fast-paced environment.
* Multitasking: Able to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities with ease.
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
* Trustworthiness: Reliable in handling sensitive information and managing logistics and financial data.
* Flexibility: Able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities, including working outside regular hours if required.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience within a general haulage or transport coordination role.
* Familiarity with logistics software and transport management systems.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to transport and logistics.

This is an office-based role in a busy, fast-paced environment, where you will interact with internal teams, customers, and service providers. The role demands excellent communication skills, as you will be required to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
