Reed Legal are supporting a well-known multi-office firm with locations based across the Midlands to recruit a Family Solicitor in their Oxford office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Consultation and Case Assessment:
o Conduct initial consultations to evaluate client cases, providing detailed legal advice on rights, obligations, and potential outcomes.
o Develop case strategies based on thorough analysis of legal precedents and current legislation.
2. Legal Documentation and Case Management:
o Draft, review, and file legal documents including petitions, affidavits, consent orders, and financial statements.
o Manage case files meticulously, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
3. Court Representation and Advocacy:
o Represent clients in family court proceedings, including interim hearings, final hearings, and appeals.
o Prepare and present compelling arguments, examining and cross-examining witnesses as necessary.
4. Negotiation and Dispute Resolution:
o Engage in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes amicably, drafting settlement agreements and consent orders.
o Utilize alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
To be considered, you will be a qualified solicitor/legal executive with previous experience managing your own family caseload with support.
