About The Role
1. Assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering Butlins' food propositions.
2. Responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes following set recipes and brand standards.
3. Oversee and manage small teams of commis chefs, ensuring food safety policies are followed.
4. Participate in the Butlins Chef Academy to enhance skills and progress to senior levels.
5. Deputise for the Sous Chef in their absence, managing daily operations of your section for efficiency and compliance.
6. Maintain a clean, organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations, and lead by example.
7. Prepare and cook dishes according to pre-approved recipes, complete daily food diaries, and support budget control with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
About You
1. Experience in a similar role or looking to step up to the next level.
2. Hardworking, reliable, and proactive in improving team standards.
3. Energetic, enthusiastic, fun-loving, and team-oriented.
4. Level 3 Food Safety qualification and confident in leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and health & safety compliance.
