To work as part of the development team to support the delivery of the development activity across the NPD and Innovation function at Kepak with specific responsibility for the Merthyr site whilst adhering to the Kepak NPD processes ensuring technical and quality standards are achieved, supporting on samples & project support. We are currently recruiting for a New Product Development Assistant to work in our busy Meat Manufacturers in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time, permanent position working 8.30am to 5.00pm with some flexibility and having a competitive salary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting the Product Development Cycle Completes routine admin tasks including courier bookings, product labels and completion of relevant NPD templates. Collation of ingredients, packaging, and samples in response to requests from the relevant NPD/ Sales function in line with agreed timescales, communicating directly regarding progress/ issues, including sending of international samples. Supporting with factory trials. Purchasing samples & kitchen supplies/materials for NPD from local shops Ensures working environment e.g. Kitchen/ office is maintained to an acceptable standard in line with food safety requirements. Kitchen is fully stocked, and items accounted for/ disposed of where needed. Assisting and taking ownership for facilitating product tests & product panels for the technologists. A physical role that requires time spent in a cold environment packing off product samples etc. Admin tasks to support technologists.
