Can you help transform the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Hampshire?
Hampshire County Council is pleased to offer this exciting role to drive the participation of children and young people with SEND and their parent / carers, in decision making and service planning, delivery and evaluation of Transforming SEND services across Hampshire.
This role involves co-ordinating, promoting, and maximising children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and their families, participation in developing and improving services.
Based within the Education and Inclusion branch the postholder will work closely with a broad range of internal and external partners, including parent / carers, parent carer forums, schools, social care and health colleagues to ensure processes are in place for children and young people to have a voice in provision across the county and actively engage with senior officers and services across the county.
You will be a champion for children and young people with SEND, share our vision and ambition, and draw on your successful experience of participation and co-production with children and young people and partnership working to co-ordinate and lead on this agenda.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to engage with a range of partners and to quickly build strong relationships. You will have effective influencing and negotiation skills, and significant experience of working with children and young people with SEND.

Travel Requirements:
You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire (and the Isle of Wight or other local authority), and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
