An exciting opportunity has arisen to offer vital support to young people in a residential service in Birmingham. A variety of day and waking night shifts are available.
We are looking for passionate, driven Residential Support Workers who can have a positive impact on young people's lives.
What the role involves:
1. To ensure you always follow the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedure.
2. To provide advice, assistance, and support to the children and young people in your care.
3. To act as an appropriate role model to help them achieve their potential.
4. Supporting children/young people with challenging behaviour and adopting de-escalation techniques.
5. Ensuring each Child/Young Person's care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.

You must have:
1. Care experience (6 months minimum).
2. Driver with own vehicle.
3. Level 3 Care qualification.
4. DBS update service (essential).
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Physical Intervention Training.
7. Restraint Training.
