Company & Project: A successful Main Contractor operating in the Commercial, MOD, Mixed-Use and Education sectors, is seeking to recruit a Design Manager to join a new project, currently in the pre-Construction stages. Work will start early in 2025. The project is a New Build valued in excess of £50m.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical compliance and design management at procurement stages, and monitoring the on-site Design coordination. A process-driven individual, with experience working across both pre-construction design and live project design coordination, is essential for this position.
1. Experience as a Senior Design Manager from early planning stages.
2. Project portfolio that includes New Build projects valued over £20m.
3. Minimum of 10 years' experience working for a Main Contractor.
4. Knowledge of Construction methodology, Design & Build contracts, single and 2-stage tenders.
5. Previous Roles: Technical Manager, Assistant Design Manager, Design Manager, Design Co-ordinator, or Assistant Design & Build Manager.
Qualifications & Skills: HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
