The role
requires a working knowledge of engineering design (reinforced concrete, steel, earthworks, drainage and external works design), programme management, engineering contracts (NEC3/4, FIDIC etc), together with experience of the tender process and management of construction projects.
• Report writing and technical review of other team members work;
• Supervision / mentoring of engineering staff;
• Liaising with other professionals in other UK offices;
• Assisting more senior team members in seeking opportunities through coordinated business development to expand the civil & structural engineering services and capabilities.
• You will manage and provide assistance on a diverse range of engineering projects, across sectors including power (wind farms, sub-stations), infrastructure (waste facilities, general developments) and built environmental (residential etc).

About you
You should be able to demonstrate:
• Strong team player with good communication, organisation, and numerical skills. A flexible approach to changing priorities as well as an ability to work accurately under pressure is also required.
• Demonstrable experience working in a comparable role on civil engineering projects, preferably within consultancy; and a good knowledge of relevant UK legislation and standards associated with Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrable consultancy/commercial experience post-graduation including project/budget management, and team supervision.
• Working engineering design knowledge reinforced concrete, steel, earthworks, drainage and external works design), programme management, engineering contracts (NEC3/4, FIDIC).
• Knowledge/experience of tendering process.
• A general understanding of civil engineering principles is vital.
• A full driving licence valid in the UK.
