We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Level 2 Field Engineer to support a dynamic client environment based in Slough. The ideal candidate will assist end-users with technical issues, monitor network systems, and ensure the smooth functioning of PCs and peripherals. The role requires troubleshooting expertise, the ability to work under pressure, and a keen focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide onsite and deskside support to end-users.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve PC issues following guidance from Level 2 engineers or designated points of contact.
3. Ensure all incidents and requests are handled within the established SLAs in a high-pressure environment.
4. Build, configure, and troubleshoot hardware including installation of company-standard images on PCs and laptops.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tickets daily.
6. Support meeting room environments including video conferencing setups.
7. Provide technical support for peripherals like printers, scanners, and mobile devices (iPads, iPhones, Android).
8. Assist with data backup and restoration as needed.
9. Provide "smart hands" support for data center equipment replacing components as directed.
10. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as daily tape changes for backups and managing tape libraries.
Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience Required:
1. Minimum 3 years of onsite technical support experience.
2. Experience with Call Logging systems.
3. Strong working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Familiarity with MAC support is a plus.
5. Experience with mobile devices including Android and iOS.
6. Competency in troubleshooting, building, and configuring both legacy and current PC/laptop hardware.
7. Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM.
8. Ability to replace defective hardware components as identified.
9. Hands-on experience with data center equipment including installation, troubleshooting, and cable management.
10. Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred Certifications:
1. CompTIA certifications (e.g., A+, Network+).
2. Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCP, MCITP, MCSE) either completed or in progress.
