My Cannock based Automotive company are looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic and fast growing business.
Duties:-
* Prepare and present monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement for presentation to Senior Management and Parent Company.
* Conduct variance analysis on budgets and forecasts to identify key drivers of business performance.
* Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and business plans.
* Manage cash flow forecasting and contribute to financial planning and strategy.
* Oversee reconciliation processes and ensure all financial records are maintained accurately.
* Support the annual budgeting process.
* Quarterly forecasting process.
* Oversee financial controls and compliance with regulations and internal policies
* Develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to provide actionable insights for leadership and operational teams.
* Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
* Deliver comprehensive reports for financial data with key business metrics to support data-driven decisions.
* Provide in-depth profitability analysis by department, product line, or customer base to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Conduct cost analyses and identify cost saving and operational saving opportunities
* Collaborate with department heads to optimise cost structures and identify efficiency improvements.
* Monitor KPIs and advise on areas of underperformance and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Support strategic projects such as new product lines or market expansion with financial modelling and feasibility analysis.
* Ensure robust financial processes are in place to support business growth.
Key Skills:-
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
* Strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing, automotive, or similar industry.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong knowledge of ERP systems, accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or SAP), and integration with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
* Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
* Advanced Excel to include data modelling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
* Ability to create dynamic, visually appealing dashboards and analytic reports.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in advising senior management on financial strategies.
* Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
* Familiarity with UK financial regulations, VAT, and corporate taxation requirements.
* Experience working in high-growth businesses or multi-site organisations
