Key Responsibilities of Technical Buyer: Manage the procurement of raw materials and finished goods. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and production requirements. Develop and maintain procurement strategies, ensuring optimal cost and quality balance while minimizing lead times. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any supply chain issues or material shortages promptly. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to ensure competitive pricing and a diverse supplier base. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements and long-term partnerships. Continuously monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and ensure no disruption in production schedules.Key Experience & Qualifications of Technical Buyer: 3 years of experience in technical buying, sourcing, or procurement, preferably within the engineering, manufacturing, or electronics sectors. Demonstrated expertise in purchasing raw materials, components, and commodities related to electronics production. Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and procurement processes. Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships to achieve optimal pricing and performance. Ability to analyze technical specifications and translate them into effective purchasing decisions. Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and other procurement software. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers. A degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
