Spirehouse are currently recruiting for a Rent and Service Charge Lead on behalf of a Housing Association in York. The Opportunity: To play a pivotal role in providing a resident-focused rent and service charge setting service. Responsible for setting rents and service charges and maintaining compliance with the rent standard and all related legislation, collaborating with colleagues across the housing association in all aspects of rent and service charge compliance. The successful candidate will: Develop, maintain, adhere to, and execute rent-setting processes, procedures and policies, ensuring all rents and service charges comply with current legislation and calculations alongside regulatory requirements As required, provide guidance and support to colleagues on rent and service charge-related issues Provide support and advice on Section 20 (of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985) consultation processes and procedures, ensuring the organisation complies fully with its legal and regulatory obligations Further information: 35 hours – Monday-Friday (Flexible hours) £52,179 per annual Permanent Opportunity Hybrid working (First few weeks onsite) 25 days annual leave Bank holidays Immediate start available Requirements: Extensive experience of producing clear and accurate communications for tenants and stakeholders at all levels Significant relevant professional experience at an operational and leadership level of setting and managing rents and service charges in social housing for tenants and leaseholders Experience of working with large, complex data sets, including manipulation, interpretation and presentation, and the ability to provide meaningful business insight Please apply for this role online or contact Kim Parsons at Spirehouse for a confidential discussion.
